# cPanel
PanelAlpha users have the option to manage their email addresses and email forwarders directly from the client area panel. These two options can be found under the "My Hosting" tab. To ensure the two features work smoothly, you first need to set up an email server in the plan.
If either cPanel or DirectAdmin is set up as the hosting server, there is no need to configure a separate email server, as cPanel, DA, and Plesk (if properly configured beforehand) can function as the hosting server, email server, and DNS server simultaneously.
If "PanelAlpha Engine For Docker" is set up as the hosting server, configuring a separate email server is mandatory, as the "PanelAlpha Engine For Docker" does not have the same capabilities as cPanel.
You may also set up cPanel as a separate webmail server, independent of the hosting server.
